iPhone 5S random blue screen retart

So I've replaced a screen on an iPhone 5S like I've done so many times! But this time the phone acts weird.

It randomly comes with blue screen and restarts the phone. If I didn't knew better I would say it is because it gets to hot ?

I've updated the phone to IOS 9.2, factory recovered through DFU mode, tried another battery, tried to replace the new screen with the old screen, I made sure all the screws is in the right place, checked all the LCD connections on the motherboard and there is no visual damage.

If the phone just lies not being used I don't know when it will restart. When I make calls, using maps and so on it takes 1-3 minutes.

So, do you have a smart idea on what it could be?

UPDATE 11-01-16 - The phone has been turned on with GPS navigation + flashlight without SIM card for about 1 hour = No problems.

Putting SIM card in the phone making a call for 1-2 minutes = blue screen and reboot.

Taking out the SIM card and doing a facetime call 1-2 minutes = blue screen and reboot.

Best Regards

Kristian

BSOD is usually related to long screw damage where by using the wrong screws on the LCD/Digitizer shield can damage traces on the board underneath the screw hole. You could also take a look at the tiny filters near the battery connector in particular FL11. Check that it's not missing or damaged.

Thank you for your reply. I will check this. By "the tiny filters near the battery connector in particular FL11" do you mean these: https://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/ig... ?

Will the faults you describe also be as sporadic / random as I see it ? Right now the phone has been laying on the table in the maps app for a couple of hours without restarting. I have taken out the SIM card before I put it there. The simcard is brand new.

I have not enough tests to proove this yet, but I think it might have something to do with calls.

Bump, I have this issue now with the battery?

Can BSOD happen from a bad battery replacement?

Yes. It is definitely possible to get a BSOD (actually a Kernel Panic) from a bad battery. I had some over the past week due to a bad gas gauge in a battery of mine. It triggers some kind of "WDT Timeout" in the log, and mine in particular had an error number of somewhere around 110 or 210.
