Does replacing the home button assembly fix my touch I.D.?

I replaced my cracked iPhone 6 screen and then my touch I.D. fingerprint scanner wasn't working at all nor allowing me to add fingerprints. Will replacing the home button fix this issue? What other part would need to be replaced if that isn't it?

No, this will destroy your phone. Just go to Apple for repair, there is nothing else you can do.

Hi,

The touch-ID feature will only work with the original home button, if you change the home button with a new one you will only have a normal home button, Touch ID will not work.

If I understand correctly you used your original home button and transferred it to your new screen? Have you made sure that the cable for the home button is correctly connected? If not, this can cause issues with Fingerprint scanning.

Is the home button smashed/cracked in anyway? this can interfere with the reading of the print.

mrchristiangonzalez not sure where you are located, but this would be an Apple repair. If your home button, or home button cable are not the original ones, you could run into error 53 which will brick your phone. For more information check the answer from Sam Lionheart iTunes Error 53 - Please help!.
