ps3 & 360 hdd in toshiba nb 100 notebook
Can a Hard Drive from a PS3 or XBOX 360 be taken out and used in a TOSHIBA NB 100 Laptop?
I know they are both Notebook Hard Drives "Like in my laptop" but im not sure if they'll work.

In the XBOX 360 there is a 2.5" SATA drive
In the PS3 there is a 2.5" SATA drive
Your NB100 takes 2.5" SATA drives.
You will need to format them though, XBOX 360 uses a FATX format which is basically FAT32.. but not.
Not sure on the PS3 format.
Not sure why you would want to do this though, seems quite strange, you can buy 250GB or above drives for about $40?

just read that PS3 is FAT32
But, you would need to remove the 360's hard drive from it's enclosure
The PS3 uses a regular 2.5" SATA drive, and you can easily swap it out with one from a PC and vice versa. You'll have to reformat it either way.
The Xbox 360 also uses a regular 2.5" SATA drive; however Microsoft uses the ATA security mechanism to lock the drive. It's possible to unlock it and use it on a PC, but it's an added hassle. You also cannot use just any drive in an Xbox 360, since you must first add a security key to its firmware, and this only works with certain models. Again, reformatting is also necessary either way.
