S5 Mini Screen issue "Shows static"

Hello,

I just replaced the entire Lcd/Glass/touchpanel with a new kit. Everything went fine until I switched on the device. Everything seems to be working OK :

- Phone starts up

- Welcome sound

- Is recognized and reachable via USB connected to PC

However the screen does not function correctly. It is like static on an old TV set. (See picture) I tried several times to gently press on the screen connector and such but no difference. Any ideas ? Many thanks for your help !

Had this issue once with a HTC One M8 new screen. Turns out it was faulty. Luckily your phone isn't damaged as this has also appeared on a Samsung Galaxy S3 when it's charger port was changed using the heatgun method.

Almost certain the screen is at fault as the phone still functions, just the screen not working.

Hello Ben, thanks for the reply. That is what I suspect as well. However I saw some other posts on internet saying it was a badly attached connector. I repetedly removed and inserted the one but same result so yes probably the display is faulty.

Kind Regards,

Tony

it could be the screen.. but i also had issue with one.. the fault rather tends to be a software issue... i was brought back to normal by flashing (not factory reset).
