LCD display horizontal lines

So I replaced the screen of my iphone a couple of days ago, thinking it'd fix everything and such. Didn't do it correctly and I wonder if I broke the cable in the process or if it's a motherboard/connector issue because the screen has been flickering, horizontal lines and the icons on the screen are 'doubling'. So...would a new screen assembly do the job or do I need a new logic/motherboard?

Additional: setting it to high brightness made it go dark

Well, the original one had water damage and it's been somewhat similar as in unresponsive but since I 've removed the screens many times maybe I damaged the connector pins. I don't know. I tried rubbing some alcohol ( disinfectant) on the connector but to no avail. Perhaps I need to replace the logic board/ motherboard?

if you have to replace the login board, it will be to expensive, might as well get a used one on craigslist or ebay.

Almost certain you will have to replace screen - avoid cheap replacement - try to get at least OEM from somebody reliable (Full OEM is preferable)

I should have tested the screen before installing so I'll never know if it's a defective screen. But I know it's not an OEM. I'll keep that in mind. Though, could this be a sign of a water damaged logic board?
