How do you upgrade your system?

You can upgrade either Windows, the software, or your hardware.

To upgrade Windows, you want to first check if eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 10. If you check the bottom right of your screen, where your time is, there maybe a icon that looks like a Window’s logo. If you see this, it means you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free, click it, and follow the onscreen instructions. If you don’t see an icon, then you will have to purchase a newer version of Windows. This normally comes in a disc, but there is also an option for downloading it. Once you have a newer version, plug the disc into your computer, or click on the downloaded files if you downloaded it, and follow the onscreen instructions.

You could also upgrade your hardware by replacing some of the parts with better ones. The two recommended ones would be your hard drive and ram, as these will have the biggest impact on performance.
