Sparks inside housing, or won't work
Sometimes it won't work and when it does it sparks on the inside of the housing.

@landstar52 what you are describing sounds like bad brushes on your motor. You will have to disassemble your saw to take a look at it. If you can give us a model number we might find more specific information for you.
