I have a Macbook (13"), which started a problem of screen(LCD) going blank.
If you keep the brightness button pressed, the screen comes on and goes
blank again, sometimes it lights up with very little brighthess and can work
on it.

Connect it to an external monitor to isolate the problem. Press the button next to the brightness button to see if you get the same results.

OK, now I have the serial number. The last three letters are OPO or 0P0. It is Macbook 4.1 with 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2GB 667MHz DDR2 RAM.
