Why does a electric motor run in opposite direction now ? 220 Volt Motor is on my Sears saw.

Motor can be run on 110 volts or 220. I have always run this on 220 volts for 40 years,

yes 40 and I still have all my fingers to count on!

Not all electrical motors can run in both directions, but most will run the other direction if the positive and negative connections are switched.

So I would try to switch the positive and negative power connections to the motor, and see if that helps.

I am however not an electrical engineer, and by no means an expert, so try at your own risk!

220V is dangerous, and CAN KILL YOU.

Don't mess with it unless you know what you are doing.
