Shows apple logo for split second, then goes to black screen.

Exactly what the question says. Bought a lot of 2, both said it was dead. Got a charged battery and it fired right up. Shows Apple logo for split second then shows a black screen. It charges, and when I plug it in it will turn on. How would I fix this?

Edit:

Now the other phone is doing the exact same thing, except it will show the Apple logo for about 2 secs. I am using the same display, could it be the display?

This sounds like a bad battery, in most cases I have seen this happen it has been a battery issue. Basically what i have found is that the nominal voltage is enough for it to start but as soon as the phone starts loading the battery, the voltage drops too low for the electronics to function and then the phone wants to reset.

I would try with a known good battery, and go from there.

Okay, one of the phone works now, used DFU mode and restored. But, the other one still won't work and spits out error 9 when I try to restore it. Still shows the apple logo thing. I used the same battery, so I know it's not that. Anything else it could be, or should I trash it?

Error 9 is bad USB connection. Try a new cable, or check the dock connector on the device.

You are right. I always get error 9 on my computer and not on the other. Which is weird.

Hooray! Got both phones to work, although they are iCloud locked. Is there a way to find the owners email?
