Hallo,
I m planing to install a touchpanel to my Macbook pro 13" Mid 2009. I ve allready found a panel but its thickness is about 2.4mm. So I was wondering, if there is enough space between the new display assembly and the keyboard or upper case when the macbook is closed and the touch panel is installed instead of the display glass.

Take some playing cards and stack them to the thickness of the added height and Scotch tape them to the existing pad. If it closes OK you're probably in good shape. To test further place a small piece of carbon paper (marking side up) on the cards and see if you get marks on the screen. Hope this helps.
