Looking for the diffuser sheets

Does anyone know where to find the diffuser sheets for a Retina system?

I mean. I am going through the same process, but one of the sheets has some damage, and I dare not reassemble the screen until I've found some sheets.

Best thing to do is remove the top sheet from another broken Retina screen and swap them across. Usually people sell some from China but do not buy these, they will be covered in dust and marks since there is no easy way to handle them.

If you do the Retina LCD panels regularly, you should have a bunch of broken screens with bad dents you can remove the sheets from if needed (although time consuming). Just swap the sheet from one of these, that way, you know the sheets will be good. If not, you can buy broken screen assemblies from eBay.

Reece.I have not found a good guide for working on the Retina displays. Do you have have a link to one and also parts source?

Find a supplier in China (go on Aliexpress and contact one selling MacBook parts), it is trial and error since most of the Retina LCD panels are technically "defective", since they aren't sold by LG/Apple, it's just finding the best of the bunch. Even with the best supplier I have found, if you order 10, 1 or 2 will have bad faults, to add to the return pile, and the rest will have minor issues (small scratch on side which is covered by the rubber bezel, small bubble on back silver LCD which is not visible when installed).

In terms of guides, I just practiced on broken assemblies and followed this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHbdmks-.... After 2 screens, I found out the best technique and tools which works for me, and started getting them in for repair. Trick is to take your time, first one will take 1-2hrs just to remove the screen, but you will get faster. Happy to do a guide on this website at some point if it's something which will interest people.
