Battery connector on logic board working or not? check?

Hi guys,

Is there any way I can see if my power connector on the logic board is working to the battery?

My battery says 0% and not working and not charging.. Im wondering if my battery is caput or if its the connector on the logic board?

I got it diagnosed.. The repairguy said I got liquid damage on the battery but he said the logic boards battery connector might be damaged but it seems to work...

Is there any way I can check for myself if the battery connector on the logic board is working without buying a new battery?

Not lately.. 1 year ago I dropped it rather hard.. but i've not had any troubles since then..

I however spilled some water on the trackpad so the red dots are saying its liquid damage to it.. =) But im curious if I can see if its the battery that is damaged or if its the connector on the logic board

3-years old MacBooks don't loose power to/from the battery without reason.

Was there liquid damage?

If yes, it could be to the battery itself, meaning you'll have to replace it.

Or the charging circuit on the board, which will need trouble shooting and micro soldering skills and tools to fix.

The way to go is probably try a new battery. It should cost you about $70 if you have access to Amazon.com (or you can get a good quality one from iFixit.com, but in case it turns out the battery is fine, you're risking a larger amount). Overlay the new battery on top of the old, connect it and try, before attempting to remove the old one.

Or have a repair shop diagnose it for you. They may be carrying this battery.

You should also remove the board from the housing and examine it for traces of liquid. If you find them, soak and clean by brushing with a soft toothbrush in 99% IsoPropyl Alcohol. Here's the link for removing and cleaning the logic board.

If I buy a battery that is for 2013 early mid or late will it work as a tester if the battery can charge or not? Is the logic board connector the same on all these models? =)

I found one on ebay where the early 2013 is exactly the same as mine (late 2013) and his 2013 late is covered with warning signs.. Not sure if im allowed to post links here =)
