Camera button only focuses, doesn't take photos?

My camera button on the side is playing up. Rather than having a first depress for focus and secondary press for take photo it only let's me focus with it. I was looking in the pictures but couldn't see if it was possible that something had snapped of the underside of the button preventing full depression of the button? Any ideas? Thanks
