Would a failed hard drive impact my battery?

My hard drive failed but I'm wondering if more is wrong. I do not get the charger to charge the battery. It won't recognize it and only has a green light. Sorry for the noob question but would be related to the hard drive? Just want to know most my cost ahead of time.

Hi,

Please do no double post. Your other post is exactly the same as this one.

What do you think is happening here?

As for your question, your hard drive will not impact charging. Water damage will. Did you spill anything on your laptop?

It can also be a damaged Magsafe charger adapter. I would have it looked by an Apple Store technician or get it looked at by an independent store (that works with Mac computers)

Best of luck!

No a failed hard drive SHOULD not effect the hard drive.

Wasn't trying to double post. In that post I didn't know the cause of failure at startup. Now, I know it was a failed hard drive because I took it to an apple technician. But, I hurried out as it was closing time and didn't ask about the potential battery/charging problem. Thanks for letting me know they are unrelated issues though, before I go an buy a replacement hd.
