When reassembleling a device what is the best option for making sure the screen and digitizer stay attached to the rear case or rest of the phone. Do you recommend a glue or a tape and if so where to buy it.

You do not need adhesive for a complete screen assembly, but if you are just replacing the glass, buy the plastic bezel frames with heat activated glue (will be a yellow or clear glue across the frame). The frames with 3M tape will not be strong enough to hold the glass, and it will lift. Would recommend OCA to bond the LCD to the glass, not tape (doesn't look good, dust gets under and causes bubbles) or UV glue (yellow pressure marks).

I don't refurbish the screens anymore myself, only when there was a shortage, but we bought them from a supplier in China (Sunshine something, I can't remember). You will probably find them on eBay as well, but make sure the packaging looks like the one in the link, otherwise it will not be good. Make sure they are kept cool as well, otherwise they melt.

If you are just starting to refurbish screens, you will need a roller (to apply OCA) and vacuum chamber (to get rid of air bubbles), so it can be quite expensive to do.
Okay i'm going to be replacing screens but instead of just the screen the digitizer to like this one iPhone 6s Plus LCD and Digitizer - Original LCD wouldn't I need glue to attach this to the case?
Yes. Except that is for the 6s Plus and this is under 6 Plus. The only reason it makes a difference is the S models do use tape to seal us the outer edge of the screen.

Adhesive shouldn't be required when doing screen replacements. The parts come pre assembled.
