Microphone not working! Cant play some of my favorite games.

Back like in 2011-2012, my DSi XL rejected to turn on. But i dont know why did that happen. They also repaired me the DSi XL, but it ended losing microphone data. Is there a way to repair the microphone?

Nintendo DSi XL Microphone Replacement

There is the iFixit guide for the microphone but I would place my money on it just being unplugged.

Thanks, but i am scary about disassembling it, so i would give my DSi to a mechanic
