Why won't the r 2400 printer power up

I powered up my epson r 2400 printer to find the number for an empty cartridge and then turned it off. The next day I put the new cartridge in and tried to power the printer and nothing. I have tried new cables, hooked it up to a different computer, checked all of the doors and contacts and tried a different outlet that for sure had power, nothing. Any ideas? thanks, Tom
