My unsolved at&t sim problem

just recently gave my wife my note 5 took my sim card out and hers in the note 5 and it doesn't read it, her sim is from another at&t account they changed the info on there end and it worked fine for a week or 2 now it doesn't read it at all only wifi works we have been to 2 at&t stores they switched sim cards and even put one of there personal sim cards in it and it works fine my sim also works fine in it PLEASE HELP my wife is driving me up the wall

You need a new sim card . It may be damaged or marked up to the point where the pins in the card reader cant make a good connection. Get a new card and have them move her account to the new sim . If the phone works fine with other cards then its the sim thats the problem. Hope this helps

that's the thing they put a new sim card in it also they have no clue whats going on

Hi,

What size is the SIM, is it a micro and you are using an adapter?

Either way, try cutting to size a bit of paper and place it on the non contact side of the SIM card and insert the card+ paper into the card reader. Initially leave it longer so that it can be easily removed if it makes no difference.

The idea is to increase the pressure that the SIM card places on the reader contacts to make a good connection.
