I rebooted the os system on the unit in since then in order to turn on the unit adaptor would have to be plugged through the outlet.
The system won't just started doing that what could have happen to create such a defect in my unit? Thank you for your time and response in advance.

When you do get it booted up, does the battery icon in the menubar have a slash through it or indicate in some other way that there's a battery problem? Batteries do wear out, but sometimes it's the controller that's the problem.
