My iPhone is stuck in Bootloop

Hey Guys

My IPhone 6 fell on the Ground (ca. 1m) and then i tried using it.

But all of the sudden the IPhone made a weird Sound and shut off.

Since then it doesn`t start or i tried to charge it but it wont.

If my Phone starts then it is in the Bootloop.

I changed the battery many times and the charging port but it doesn`t help.

Could someone help me pls, because i have some important documents on it.

I would be so thankful, for your answers!

(Sorry for my bad english, i am from Switzerland)

Replacement charge ports and batteries are notorious for low quality. You may have a defective replacement part.

Otherwise, a boot-looping device can be caused by many things. Try these things (if you haven't already) to see if anything helps:

  • Try a hard reset (Home & Power button for 10 secs)
  • Use a genuine Apple Lightning connector
  • Use a genuine Apple charging brick and let it charge overnight
  • Try to connect it to different computers (mac/pc if possible) with an updated iTunes
  • Put the phone in recovery mode (search DFU Mode). Careful, this can reset your data
  • Use 3uTools for putting it in and out of Recovery Mode
  • Use 3uTools to flash the firmware (you can't downgrade)
  • Check the condition of all the flexes (with magnification)
  • Disconnect the Front Camera Ribbon from the logic board and reboot your phone
  • Disconnect the screen assembly completely and see if iTunes will recognize the phone.

Otherwise, you may have a logic board issue. If you are uncomfortable doing these steps, consider finding a repair shop to do the troubleshooting. A shop that also does micro-soldering can go deeper if the problem is not modular in nature.

All flex cables are in very good condition I put every OEM part on it, but still it doesn`t let me charge it and the Pc wont detect my IPhone. What can i do now?

In january i went to many repair shops in Macedonia ( that is my country of origin) and no one knew what was going on.

@refectio such a good answer

OP Since 2014 everybody with an eBay account thinks they're a repair tech. It's not a big surprise a lot of these places can't fix your problem

If you have tried everything on the list, then your last option is finding a repair shop that also does micro-soldering to do the troubleshooting. Many offer mail-in repairs and work on a no fix/no fee basis. There are several shops who frequent this forum. You may want to reach out to @rany as he is (relatively) close to you.

Well i don`t know what i am gonna do with my broken IPhone, i have so many documents that i need for school and work.

But the interesting part for me is, the Iphone wont charge the battery, the battery works,(i tested it) and if it has some juice in it, then it is stuck in the bootloop and i tried so many times to get it in dfu mode but i wont let me, it would start again

Hey iMedic could the Charging IC be the problem here?

tarafından

Ah..I dunno. Usually charging ic, phone doesn't come on at all. I mean, I guess maybe, or maybe even something in that circuit? Could possibly be the culprit

tarafından

It's usually the U2 Tristar Charging IC if the phone just suddenly went into boot loop mode for no apparent reason.

And there seems to be a high traffic of them recently with the same symptoms here across iPhone 5 to 6 on iFixit answers.

It's just a PITA to diagnose when it does this apple logo stuff.

Good to know @benjamen50 i figured if it was u2ic it just wouldn't come on at all

Did you try power it up without the plate screwed in over the lcd connectors as I know that if the lcd connector plates screws are in the incorrect holes this can cause the bootloop too. Is there and colour like red or blue that flashes after the apple logo for a short time?

The Real Fix:

1. Power the Phone off (or wait for it to die)

2. Open the phone

3. Disconnect the internal battery

4. Hold the power and home buttons down for 10-15 seconds

5. Reconnect the battery and close the phone back up.

6. Plug into power and the phone should be working.

7. Do a battery calibration.
