Regarding the lack of Touch, have you jumpered the M1 pad? Look to this video for an in-depth look.

As far as the lack of or poor quality display, I would suspect the voltage rails powering the LCD. One of the risks when doing Touch IC's (especially if you have to do it more than once) is excess heat to the board. There are rows of passives on the other side of the board, tight next to the FPC connectors that are covered in underfill. With too much heat, sometimes the underfill sucks up the component from the board once the solder has melted. You don't notice it due to the underfill.

So I would probe the voltages directly at the connector to see if they are present. If not, then start digging away the underfill can check that the filters are properly soldered.

hey minho! thanks for your help. i will do that. i never did this before. should i connect te battery and then start up the phone and then messure?

i dont think that that is the problem, when i did meson for the first time. the lines showed up. isnt there another possibility?

tarafından

You have to start somewhere... You can test for continuity on the filter lines with the battery disconnected.

thanks your answers are always helpfull! :)

@minho i just removed meson ic, and the stripes are gone. i looked at the connector filters but the glue looked still normal so i left it alone. about that M1 pad: it's an iphone 6, am i supposed to jump a wire to the other side of the board? or is it better to just take a new chip and see if it will work first? reball might not be a good idea because i already used it twice and maybe it's a bad chip right?

@refectio i just fixed it. i think it was meson and maybe the guy on the screenshot. it is covered with glue and it was loose when i touched it. i think you should always remove this before doing meson. i guess you guys know this already. maybe i was a little bit dumb :) thanks for the help

Congrats!! Yeah, sometimes the excess heat causes issue in the surrounding components.
