Can't connect to google play store?

hello everyone i have made it through initial setup on my tablet but when ever i click on the google play store app it asks me to enter my information and i do but then proceeds to tell me that it couldn't connect to google play because it had no connection. I looked it up and come to find out my date and time was way off it said it was jan 1, 2000 so i set the date and time to what they needed to be and i tried to log back in and now it says that it doesn't have a reliable connection to the google play servers. idk what to do now. hope someone can help me with this. I also cleared the caches and data and everything but still nothing happens.

Someone hacked my Facebook account, has access to all my contacts, my address, my credit card information, DOB. Phone number, gmail, Yahoo Account, even my dogs name! And now I can't even up date my phone. So I can use it to report a hacker. What the !&&*?

I agree with one and two but the others are not good answers.

Sign into your Google account from settings. Go to settings, then accounts. Click add account, then sign into your Google account using your Gmail name and password. After that, clear the cache of the store by going to settings, apps, google play store, and selecting clear cache. Try opening it.

Hope this helps!

Well, that would be terrific, if I could actually access Google Play store. It shows on the screen, but the "log in" button is inactive
