Why won't the brush rotate?
12 year old Dyson upright vacuum doesn't pick up dirt because the brush does not rotate.

@sweep4815, Kathy, You did not state your model#. There could be hair/debri wrapped around the brush rollers or perhaps belt has came off or broke. Use the Dyson brush trouble shooting 1st link below, select your model there if not the DC14. 2nd link may also be of help on disassembly of brush head. Good luck. I have a Dyson Dc 14 and the same problem. Brush won't turn but the belt is not broken. Also, the extension wand is not working.
