Camera appears to be trying to turn off and on when pwr switch is off

When the camera is turned off it appears to try to turn on and off repeatedly draining the battery. The "Samsung" flash screen will pop up and the green ready light, but only stay on for a second. Can't determine what is wrong. Have updated firmware with no change.
