I can't factory reboot after the update.

I have been searching for ways to get into my tablet for a while. Before it updated, I used the backup password with minor difficulties (waiting 30 seconds). After the update, I can't get into the tablet with the backup password. I have tried to find other ways of bypassing the password, but nothing has worked, so I must factory install it. The weird thing is that I can't turn off the tablet without the password, something I believe you must do to factory reboot. Thing is, I don't know the password.
