Hello everyone.

I was replacing my iphone 3g rear housing when i found a little metal part on my desk that i could not for the life of me find where it went... It kinda looks like the camera bracket, nut its definetly not. Ive browsed the net like crazy with no luck... Im going a little nuts!

Pictures or a link would be great.

PLEASE HELLLP!!!

UPDATE!!

Ok someone helped me find where it goes.

It goes over one of the mounting holes on the docking port assembly.

Here it is after install.

I hope this helps someone.

That's the bracket for the system connector that is screwed onto the rear housing, acts as a ground for reception.

its the bracket that holds the charging connector to the main case on the bottom by the charging port it acts like a secure mounting bracket so when the iphone is plugged in or unplugged it dont move the charging connector

If your 3G-S still works, than just keep the part in a safe place and forget about it untill you know what it is for. It's no use finding out what it is if you device isn't damaged

If you look directly in the center of the first pic you have posted you will see the part. It's right in the center of the first pic. Maybe that bracket goes on the other side. I wouldn't re-assemble without installing that part.
