PSP does not charge from charger.

I have aquired recently a PSP, but it does not charge from it's charger. So, I want to make an USB mod, so i will be able to charge the psp from USB. But I want to charge it from my phone charger or iPad charger, and here is the question, will I burn out my PSP if i will charge it with a charger after USB mod?

Hi!

A standard phone charger that outputs 5 volts and anywhere from 0.5 to 2 amps will safetly charge your console.

PS: let me see if I understood what you are trying to do: you want to replace the power-in port of the PSP with some sort of Lightning/ 30-pin solution? You do realize it might be cheaper to get a new charging port/ power adapter/ battery, right?

No, the energy controller from my PSP is burnt, and it can not charge from charger. All I want to make is the USB mod so it can charge from upper mini USB port, that is why i ask about charger.

@sanghun But you can charge the console via the upper USB port anyway, you don't need a mod for that

tarafından

@sanghun It's a standard mini (type B) USB cable, you only need to go to settings

@sanghun On never mind, I just googled the mod you are talking about. Idealy you need something like 1.2 Amps to charge the PSP, but as I said, anything from 0.5 to 2 Amps will be fine, only the charging speed will be different.

I just am afraid to burn the mother board )) but this mod is performed on PSP 1000 because it doesn't support USB charging :D Thanks anyways
