in order to prepare for the master-tech certification...what would be the best advice for someone with limited experience in repairing related electronics devices?

Pick the device you want to perform the certification exam with and practice the disassembly/re-assembly multiple times until it is a natural progression. I believe that as part of the study guides, they chart out what they will be looking at.
I also was once in your place and did not know where to turn and where to start. I was advised to get a Cisco certificate and then I would be able to get a good job. I found a company and recently passed the 2020 Cisco Certification. It was very simple, and most importantly cheap. Other exams are very expensive, and the company I found provides an opportunity to choose the right package. The exam itself went well, online. I was very helped by the company's employees working there. If you are a technician and you are looking for something like this, then I suggest you follow my example.
