screen is half gray
my son's ipod touch screen is half gray. How do i fix this? Do i need to just change the screen or change hardware inside?

last one of these that i saw was because the connector had come off the board for the lcd, fortunately not much dissassembly needed for that! other one i saw was a small crack in the lcd at the top middle of the screen, need a replacement screen to sort that!
