Replacing rear case, can't remove hole surrounds from old

Hi, I'm replacing the rear case of an iPhone 5 as well as swapping out the camera and volume/power button cable. I've just put the lightning connector and speaker into the new housing and notice the old case had a plastic part with surrounds/edges to both headphone jack and lightning connector holes, to make a snug fit.

Is it possible to remove those from the old case (with a heat gun?) or to replace them with new? a quick look on eBay didn't turn up anything.

all the best and thanks,

Tom

You can remove all you need with heat and a blade like tool. No need for a heat gun which would be too powerful and probably damage the tiny plastic parts, go with a hair dryer or put it for some time on something warm enough to soften the adhesive. Don't forget the small metal gaskets you find under the lightning connector where the central screws are fitted.

Thanks so much, @arbaman I'm having trouble remembering which holes the 4 washers were for under there. they moved around quite a bit when I took the part out. is it the central most 4 holes, 2 above two below?

Ah they're raised, those 4 holes. got it now.

Great, you found them, the 4 central ones !
