Do I need to condition new iFixit battery?
After much research and internal debate, my battery purchase came down to Apple in-Store replacement, OWC or iFixit. I went with iFixit and ordered today.
I noticed that there are specific "conditioning" instructions on the OWC site where you charge and fully drain to condition the battery.
Will I need to do any of this for my iFixit battery? I looked around here for a video or instructions on conditioning, but I do not see anything.
Thanks in advance.

So I am now at the stage of draining my battery after a full charge and a two hour charge post full charge. I have removed all energy saving settings. So far so good! I am still at 65% after almost three hours! This is already a huge improvement and very encouraging. My old "new" battery would have died by now. In fact my old battery would drain completely if I hadn't even used the machine for a few days with the lid closed and in my bag. Fingers crossed.

I spoke too soon. The ifixit battery has been underwhelming. The discharge goes from 100% to 65% at a normal pace and then drops immediately yo 7% from 65%. This is after conditioning and three cycle. Did this every time. In addition, per coconut battery, the design capacity has dropped to 91% after these three cycles. I either got a bad battery or these seem to be no better than the Amazon battery I replaced it with. In fact the 1.5 year old Amazon battery performed better than this before the swap. I have reset SMC a few times. Ugh.

care to give an update of its performance at the moment? cause I was thinking of giving it a try. I am currently using a SLODA battery from amazonuk and it only lasts for about 2 hrs max on minimal web browsing and emails. I just downloaded a gfxcardstatus so I could keep my graphics card to integrated only or whatever that means - I guess Ill try this first
