Will a LTE+GPS screen work with a GPS only model?

As the title suggests,i have a cracked screen on a Apple Watch series 3 GPS model.

I want to replace it but screens are not easy to find.

And if you find screens they are LTE+GPS model.

There is 1 reference on the web which suggested that a LTE+GPS screen will not work with the GPS only model.

Can anyone shed light on this issue?
