My MacBook died. I want to transfer my music on my Ipod nano, which is synced to the old MacBook, to my new MacBook Pro. New Macbook Pro says content on Ipod will be lost when syncing with it.

For iPod touch sync with iTunes, please follow these steps:
1.Plug in your iPod touch with the USB cable to you computer.
2. Your iPod touch should appear under Devices in the bar to the left.
3. Go to Music tab, check the box sync all music in the library.
4.Select APPLY and Sync at the lower right corner
5.Wait as the song added to iPod touch,. When done click Eject and unplug your iPod touch.

okay, you might have iTunes. anyways, when you plug it in, iTunes comes up, so change the preferences that iTunes doesn't show up when you plug in the iPod. close iTunes, and open a random folder.
Under tools>folder options, checkmark the option to view hidden folders. Take out your iPod, plug back in (iTunes should not come up), go to c:/ and the iPod should be there. unfortunately, it is just gonna be a mess of files, so transfer files from iPod to your computer, and figure out which is which.

luckily, i have found the mac version of this software at Link text
so you can first download the mac version software, then refer to the above step by step guide.

You can use the Finder to transfer music from iPod to Mac:
1. Right-click a blank area of your desktop and select 'New Folder' from the pop-up menu.
2. Name the new folder iPod Recovered, or any other name that strikes your fancy.
