tail an brake lites on the right side won't work
I changed the blubs an lights still will not work. How do I trouble shoot this electricial problem ?

Did you check the connections for any built up corrosion? If you find any clean it off with a probe or carefully with a screwdriver. Check your fuse panel to make sure you haven't blown a fuse. Also check the filaments in the bulbs just in case.

Besides what Rolland suggested you can also check your light socket with a multimeter or a testlight. To check for voltage with a test light at a given point
Clip the black wire to a good ground (as above.)
Touch the point to the terminal/wire being tested.
If the light lights, the circuit is getting power. you can perform the same test with a multimeter and it should read about 12volts when either the light is on or the indicator is on. Make sure you have the right bulb. Some bulbs fit but do not touch the proper points. Check the backside of your light and make sure that all the wires and cotacts are still intact and make good contact. Let us know what works and what does not so we can continue to assist you.
