without going into too many details or asking too many questions, as a tech the first thing you do is the simple things. so I would check the sound card drivers first. Otherwise it is looking like there could be something physically wrong with the jack itself . After making sure your drivers are good since you know the headphones are good, If you can open up your computer and see is there are loose connections or shorted wires and that sort of things. I apologize for not being able to be more helpful with this one. I really do hope that you resolve your issue without having to spend money

what computer is it or at least what brand motherboard? Separate sound card or are you using an onboard sound card?

It has an integrated sound card but I'm thinking of getting a USB soundcard.
EDIT: I don't know what type of motherboard and my pc is pirated windows 7 and my rating is 3.5

Hi Livewire, can you check on your device manager, under sound , video, audio controller, do you see if the mainboard sound card is detected, like realtek, etc?
how about the rear connection? does it works?

It works sometimes but only through one ear
