No monitor output even after replacing graphics card

When i try to start this computer I do have a chime but the monitor remains dark. Motherboard? I replaced the video card with an identical one to the one I took out. It is a Nvidia geforce 5200 with 64 mb of ram. I have tried more than one monitor one of which I am certain is working. This is a Dual 1.8 ghz model. Suggestions?

If you know for sure that the second card works, there is a possibility that the AGP slot has totally or partially failed. A lessor video card may work or you may need to try a PCI video card instead of the AGP card. If you have a PCI-E slot this is the type you may need: http://old-macs.com/pages/Video_Cards/AP...

+ The video cable could be bad (internal break) also if you used the same cable on both monitors.
