On my PowerBook G4 laptop. After restarting my computer, I am not able to see the desktop accept background light and apple logo on the screen. Does anyone know, where and how to fix it? I'be appreciated.

If you mean it's locking up at the Apple logo on start up, try starting up from your system installation disk by inserting the disk and holding down the "C" key on start up. Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities > Disk utility. Select your hard drive on the left and see if you can repair it.
