How to create Mini DisplayPort "dongle" to MacBook think it is connect

Hi there :)

I am struggling with MacBook random shutdowns (someone said it is because Thunderbolt…. chip is faulty) and when I got my MacBook connected to TV - it does not have random shutdowns - when disconnected - it has - I just wish to have possibility to be…… mobile and have something like just “dongle” DisplayPort plug in MacBook with cut off other end cable - but when I got just cut off that cable it does not detect any display/TV so must be modified somehow - how to do this?

Maybe connect/short 2 cables only? If yes which one?
