MacBook suddenly shuts down when battery is around 25%
My macbook suddenly shuts down (without and warnings) when the battery level is around 25%. And when I plug the charger back in, it starts charging from 1% but after around 2-3 minute, the charge level quickly jumps back to around 25%, and then starts to charge at normal speed up to 100%.
I think I have pretty worn out batter, as the “Battery Health 2” shows this:
Cycles: 982
Age: 1.8 years
Battery Heath: 53% (It shows 42% during the first few minutes of working, when the MB turned on after the sudden shutdown, and after few minutes it gets 53%. If I manually restart the MB during the first minutes it shows 53%)
My MB has no Liquid damage, and I cleaned the fans 4-5 month ago.
-Is there something that I can do to fix this?
Or should I just replace the battery asap? And if so, what should I do to make it less worse, should I just leave it plugged in all the time till the new battery arrives?
Thank you!
