Hdmi port might be broken
Im still waiting for my other parts for my computer so i can see if my hdmi plrt is broken. Could some one tell me if it would still work

Mike unless we can clearly see the contacts there is no way to say for sure. Looking at the deformity I would think that either the contacts in the port or on the solder connections have gotten damaged too. You could try and match a HDMI port from either Mouser.com or Digikey.com and see if they have something that will fit. Replacing the port by soldering a new one in its place would eliminate the guesswork.

I know this is much later. And hoping I could get some answer
I have a 3070 evga x3. And it has a semi faulty hdmi port. Is it possible to change the hdmi port or even to potentially re solder the existing one? It still works but when wiggle the cable screen goes black.
@vietech yes it can be re-soldered for as long as the traces and the solder pads are good. It is a bit tough to solder and unless you have done boardwork before, I would suggest you give it to someone who can do that for you.
Hey thanks for the quick reply. I was told liquor solder might work. I have mostly on fixed controllers for ps4 and some other light stuff. But good to know ahead of time
@vietech I assume you mena liquid solder and no, you want to stay away from stuff like that. This needs soldering with real solder. Anything else will just make a mess and short circuits.
