Is it possible to change my damaged display with a working one from a MacBook 2006?

Review this guide MacBook Core 2 Duo Display Replacement Open up each part to see which system is supported. To find out what your system is exactly plug in the systems serial number into here EveryMac - Lookup. This is the best way to see if they are the same display assembly.
Do keep in mind your system uses CCFL’s so an older display will likely have a dimmer display as the tubes loose their brightness overtime (use). This would be true with any used part.
