Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 polaroids coming out blurry

hi guys my polaroids are coming out very pale. the black is not very vivid, ive tried playing around the modes too

either its too dark or its too light for the same image.

does the film expire? and does it affect the image quality?

if the film has not been stored in a stable environment ie too hot or too cold this can cause the film to produce images that may appear washed out or pale. This effect may also happen if you are shooting photo’s in very hot or very cold conditions.

If the image is blurry you may be too close to the subject; these cameras have a small range for focal distance at the close up-something like 45cm-1m, check you have the right setting for close up or long distance and vice versa.

Overly light photo’s generally mean it has been overexposed (too much light or too long an exposure). Check the door is closed fully and not leaking light on the film. Expired film may produce faded photo’s too.

I’d try a new pack of film, be careful when loading it, and see if the same photo results.
