Windows 7 Installed but cant alter resolution down to 32 bit...

I fitted a new hard drive and was given Windows 7 from a friend but when I installed it I noticed it was for a 64 bit. My laptop is a 32 bit. Is there any way I can change this so I have the correct resolution?

Thanks.

If the installation went through I doubt very much that your chipset and BIOS have a 32BIT limitation. I would search the web for any drivers you can be missing.

heya,

the 32 and 64 bit are not the resolution of the screen. its the OS itself. so if you have a 32 bit system you´ll need the 32 bit version of windows 7.

1st if his system would not accept the x64 it will not BOOT, so his system can be either x64 or x32. The resolution is caused by the lack of proper driver for his Video... it also can be because his does not have enough memory to allow the ability to change resolution.

lots more info needed to give 100% assistance.
