Released January 2016, identified by model number CHW-12. The Cuisinart has both a coffee maker and a hot water dispenser for tea.

Seeking Hot Water Release Tab

Cuisinart does not carry this part (to my astonishment and disbelief). It is basically a soft plug that goes in the bottom of the unit. You pull it out to drain the water reservoir and push it back in to seal. Mine got lost during a cleaning. I can’t make hot tea without it. Otherwise, the unit works fine.

Don't know your machine but if you post some close up images of the drain hole and perhaps give some measurements someone may come up with a workable solution. Maybe visit a plumbing supply store and check if there are any suitable plugs that will do the job or perhaps a suitably shaped wine bottle cork may be good enough to serve as a bung in the drain hole. Just some thoughts.
