Why does wired keyboard generate unwanted 7s while typing

During normal writing 7s are generated from the wired aluminum keyboard (5 years old) every time I use "j" or "k".

no liquid damage happened before.

having the onscreen keyboard window open it shows that 7s are generated form the numeric "7" field of the keyboard.

what can i do

i removed the key cabs --> no dirt inside!

meanwhile I did a test with an win7 laptop: --> interesting result!

hitting the j or k key did lead to typing a j or k on the screen and an immediate carriage return = the cursor jumps to the beginning of the line; very strange! Any ideas?

Replace the keyboard. You can pop the key and see if something is causing it to stick. Here's the teardown I did of the wireless keyboard but the keys are the same: Apple Wireless Keyboard (A1255) Teardown
