Can you hear the machine booting up? Can you hook it up to an external monitor?

Hi thanks so much for your help. but i don't hear the computer boot up. it just comes on with a dark screen after some time you feel the bottom becoming hot.

Please give us the last three figures of your serial number so we can determine which machine you have. I don't believe any of the A1181 models had a Nvidia GPU till 2009 and were not effected by the issue.

Hi Andrew thanks again so much for your time. the model of my machine is A1181 is clearly written beneath the machine.

Please give the last three figures of your serial number ( found in the battery compartment). There are 17 different machines in the A1181 line.

Your machine is a:

Apple MacBook "Core 2 Duo" 2.1 13" (White-08) Specs

Identifiers: Early 2008 - MB402LL/A* - MacBook4,1 - A1181 - 2242

This machine indeed does not have the Nvidia GPU.

I suspect your MagSafe board may have failed but would also like to check your AC adapter and battery. Please remove your battery and magsafe and press the power on button for 10 seconds. Now connect just the magsafe and try to start. Please let us know your results. Please check the power button on your battery and let us know its status. How's the light on the magsafe, any changes?

i agree with Mayer about the magsafe baord as being your next best bet after testing your adapters. you can get one here at ifixit MacBook MagSafe DC-In Board

This is usually related to NVIDIA defects where the solder came off, thus a black screen(thanks for teaching how to get this to happen HP!)

Take the computer apart using this guide(MacBook Core Duo Logic Board Replacement) and heat the GPU up for 30-60 seconds on medium heat

DO NOT COOL THE BOARD OFF WITH WATER! YOU WILL CAUSE THERMAL SHOCK AND HAVE TO GET A LOGIC BOARD! LET IT COOL ON IT"S OWN AND MAKE IT STABLE!

If this dosen't help, the GPU is bad and you need a logicboard

Hi, Does the hard disk runs? You can try to change the RAM memories or try to push the Nvidia GPU when you press the power botton.

hi nothing runs i don't even get a sound. the screen remains blank then after some time the laptop start to heat. i have change the RAM and pressed the GPU as u told me but nothing still happens. is there any way to reset or something i am just confuse. thnks for your time.

Ok, it seems to be a charging/power problem... If you can´t hear working your hard disk then there is to few possibilities that you have a welding problem in the GPU; Is your battery charging? Can you take off your battery and plug the charger to start on your MacBook?

tarafından

Hi thanks again for your time, yes is charging. when u press power button the charging light comes on and stable the fan is spins for a while and stops then after about 15mns the heat sink becomes very hot abut no display the charging light stays on till u turn off the machine.

I would like to test the voltages in your macbook... Seems a little weird, but in the other hand, i agree with mayer, the easyer way is to check by parts, begining with the MagSafe and your charger.
