1 MBP 2015 Random Shutdowns/Sometimes starts only without AC power

Hi there, I have a MBP 2015 13” A1502 802-4924.
For several months it’s been randomly shutting off (hard off, not sleep or standby), which seems to be related to heavy video loads- occurs randomly after using youtube for a few hours, or when launching demanding games on the Boot Camp side. The fan speeds don’t show any apparent behavior to accompany these shutdowns.
-I’ve freshly wiped and restored both the OSX and Windows side, no change.
-I suspected heat/smc issues, I’ve resest SMC/PRAM, no change.
-I’ve opened the case, blown out the fan, and reapplied thermal paste to the cpu, no change.
I’ve read about similar smc/thermal issues here, however, none with the specific symptom in the title -no, you didn’t read that wrong; sometimes the computer will not turn on when connected to AC power, upon unplugging, it starts up fine on battery. The shutdowns don’t seem to be related to the power source, they occur on both battery and AC.
Any ideas? I’m trying to prevent a mobo replacement, and am comfortable doing component level repairs.

Have you tried running diagnostics? Restart your system hold the D key. Did you get any errors? If you did what did you get?
FYI: Newer OS's may not let you run diagnostics (Apple has a bug)

I would install a good temp monitoring app like TG Pro Make sure you un-install any fan control apps or other SMC over-rides. This is the better app! For now let it run awhile. I would recommend spending for the full version so yo can get the logging function and get the diagnostics. Give it at least 48hrs so we get a few events. Take a snapshot fo the main window and paste it here so we can see it Adding images to an existing question
If you got the full version export the log into an numbers spreadsheet and post it as well.
