Is it my TCon board or something else?

Since it seems that you know your fair share on the subject Im going to ask you. I have a Samsung TV that displays lines a short time after being turned on. If I turn it off and wait some time, when I turn it on it takes like 40 minutes or so for the lines to appear, and once the lines are there they get worse over time. This lead me to believe that this is a temperature related issue with the TCon board. Should I replace it or do you think that it is something else. I know that it isn’t the panel since the line positions and patterns aren’t always the same and sometimes they appear and sometimes they don’t. Thank you for your time.

sound slike an issue with the T-con board alright. I would replace the T-con board first and re-evaluate after. If you can give us the complete model number we can try and see if there is more information about common errors etc.

@tomaslomba looks like the T-con board is the way to go.

Thanks ,there is a detail I skipped in my description which is that if I switch inputs from HDMI to cable/air, the lines disappear. It is when the lines have gotten worse for continuous use of around 2hs that they appear on every source and not just on HDMI. The reason im telling you this is that Im afraid of buying and changing the T-con just to find out that it wasn’t the problem to begin with. If after reading this you tell me its the T-con board then I’m buying one and replacing it.

Tomas Lombardini darn, that makes it a bit more complicated. I would expect the error to be there all the time regardless of input. If it is input related I would go with the main board. I know there is a big price difference but consider buying from somewhere that has a good return policy.
