Airport Time Capsule no longer connects to my network

My Airport Time Capsule no longer connects to my network. I was told that there is a chance the hard drive can be taken out and the data might be able to be saved to another drive. I have no idea where to start. I don’t care if the actual Time Capsule is torn apart as the TC is no longer of use to me. I downloaded your instructions on how to take it apart. Do I have to be careful as far as disconnecting the cables and power connector?

What do I need to purchase so that I can attach the TC hard drive to my MacBook?

A 3.5” hard drive is used in the Time Capsule.

You'll need a 3.5” hard drive dock that is externally powered and provides USB connection.

This is the SATA to USB adapter yo are speaking about StarTech 2.5" SATA to USB adapter cable

You'll need some recovery software to pull the data off as the files structure of the drive is not MacOS compatible.

Hmm. It's a 3.5mm hard drive installed though so the adapter won't have enough power to get the hard drive working off that adapter.

Good point! You'll need one with a power assist (external power)
